Maui here we come!

This Thursday we leave for Maui! Fred and I have waited a long time to get to go and now it is really happening! We are going with three other couples who are our really good friends! Diane and her friend Taylor are going too! We will be there for two weeks! That seems like a long time to me to be away from home and pets, not to mention Elly! That will be the hardest part! But once I am there I am sure that it will go really fast! I am disappointed that I will miss the Easter Egg drop! But I know I will see pictures and maybe a video! According to the local weather in Maui, it will be raining when we get there! That figures! I will try to update my blog when exciting things happen! This is a picture of one of the beaches that we will be walking to everyday! I will miss everyone!

St. Patrick's Bunco with White elephants!

Ok Girls, you don't want to miss this Tuesday at Women's Group! We will be at my house again! We are going to "Go Green"! And White! What that means is everyone needs to bring a White Elephant! That is something you have that you do not really want or need but, someone else might really like it! It has to be wrapped! Everyone will go home with a present! Sound like fun? Also we are being treated to Jenn's traditional "Green St. Patty Day Wraps'! Thank you Jenn! I am going to make some green appetizers for us as well to go with the wraps! :) There will be a little prize for those who wear green! I am looking forward to this Tuesday and I hope to see some new faces as well! Les

Diane's 18th Birthday!

My baby is 18! Eek!

It doesn't matter how old your baby is, you still get sad when they reach that next birthday! The last few months I have been planning a special birthday party for Diane's 18th birthday, since we are taking her to Hawaii with us as a surprise, we thought it would be fun to plan a Hawaiian Luau and tell her then she was going to Hawaii! Finding the right resturaunt,(Dill's Deli) buying all the decorations, planning all the food, sending out all the invites, I had so much fun! Everything turned out perfectly, despite the rain and hail, thunder and lightening!! She was so excited when she walked through the door. She had no idea! There were roughly 45 people yelling Happy Birthday! Diane was so excited when she found out that we were taking her with us to Hawaii. I am excited too!
